Educational concept

For us, the focus is on each child and their individual needs. We want the children to experience the world with all their senses and at the same time gradually prepare for starting school. With this in mind, we promote different areas such as social and cognitive skills as well as developing each child’s self-awareness. Our approach is all about accepting and exemplifying diversity, with support for each child according to their personal stage of development. 

Our fixed daily routines provide the children with structure and security. For example, we have a group circle every morning, a range of educational activities, fixed mealtimes, a midday rest period, and time in the fresh air and for free play every single day. Our bilingual approach encourages children to have fun engaging with German and English, promoting their language skills from an early age.

During the settling-in period, we assign children to a particular key worker and a fixed group. Of course, the children can also visit other groups at any time. This is explicitly encouraged during the transition from nursery to kindergarten to make it easier for children to settle into the kindergarten group. Children from all groups also meet regularly in the garden, where they can find new playmates. 

Trusting and open cooperation with parents is very important to us and an essential part of our emphasis on developing each child’s healthy self-image and confidence, so they can develop a powerful personality.
