Cologne Rath

Our day care centre was opened in 2017 in the beautiful district of Cologne Rath-Heumar. The centre of this district offers various shops, supermarkets and playgrounds. Thanks to our proximity to the tram station for Line 9, our facility is very easy to access by public transport. Our large, well-equipped rooms have been designed according to the needs of the children. In our group rooms, for example, the children have building, handicraft and quiet corners at their disposal for free development. There is plenty of space for exercise and letting off steam in our sports hall and our garden, which offers a wide variety of playground equipment. We also go on regular extended excursions to explore the nearby Königsforst.

Educational concept

Our pedagogical focus sees each child as a unique individual, who we aim to support in an age-appropriate and individual way. We place a special emphasis on instilling a healthy self-image and boosting self-confidence as well as promoting participation and active engagement by each child. Our goal is a holistic education for all the children. This involves a focus on nutrition, exercise, health and sustainability. We offer the children a variety of activities and projects around these topics. In addition, we help the children acquire important basic skills with targeted and more general pedagogical activities, in working groups and through free play. We encourage the children's curiosity, initiative and interest and offer them plenty of freedom for their own experiences.

Monthly costs

The childcare costs are based on the schedule of fees issued by the city of Cologne. A monthly flat rate of €93 for nursery children and €103 for kindergarten children is charged for lunch.
