Münster Albachten

Our day care centre in Münster was opened in 2018 in the beautiful district of Albachten. It is surrounded by playgrounds, parks and small woods, which are ideal for extended exploratory tours. Particularly popular are our trips to the nearby “Lennis Eierhof” farm, where the children can feed the chickens and (if all goes well) see some little piglets. Twice a week, we use the adjacent sports hall for physical activities.

Our thematic focus is on ESD (Education for Sustainable Development). For example, we have built raised beds with the children, which we cultivate together. In our team meetings and together with the parents' council, we are constantly working on ideas to expand this focus further.

Our day care centre is equipped with air conditioning in all the children's rooms.

Educational concept

We see every "little giant" as a precious individual, endowed with their very own personality traits and abilities from the moment they are born. The goal of our educational work is to offer individual support and encouragement to allow these special characteristics and unique talents to flourish. We follow a situation-oriented approach, which builds on children's experiences to strengthen their social and emotional competence. Our daily activities are centred around topics that are of interest to the children, focusing on their requirements and preferences.

Every three months or when required, we organize a children's parliament, in which we plan upcoming projects and activities together, e.g. the forest week, the Clean Münster campaign, or activities inspired by the topics of peace and children's rights.

Another important aspect of our daycare is the involvement of parents: regular conversations with parents are very important to us, and constructive feedback is always welcome.

Monthly costs

The childcare costs are based on the charter of fees issued by the city of Münster. In addition, a monthly flat rate of € 80 is charged for meals.
