Educational concept

We view each child as a unique individual with their own interests, needs and abilities. In our daily educational routine, we focus on where each child is in their development so we can offer support that is tailored to their personal requirements. In accordance with the guidance for Baden-Württemberg, we work with portfolios that the children create themselves. This allows us to document each child’s personal development and encourage them to reflect on their skills, creative abilities and 
special experiences. 

We offer a blend of group activities and free play: each child has a fixed key worker and belongs to a specific home group, which gives them a sense of security and belonging. In the garden and physical activity area, all the nursery and kindergarten children can meet and find new playmates. Every Friday, we also have a singing circle with all the children across all groups. On our dedicated sports days, children can satisfy their natural desire for physical activity while training their motor skills.

We have had excellent experience using the Berlin settling-in model when children first arrive at the centre. Parents are involved in this process. Regardless of the child's behaviour, we never separate the children before the fourth day. This approach allows children to get used to their new environment in their own time, gradually settling into their relevant group.
