Cologne Wahn

Our day care centre was opened in May 2021 on the outskirts of Cologne Porz/Wahn. Thanks to our favourable location on a main road, we are easily accessible by public transport or via the motorway. Our modern interiors are bright, welcoming and child friendly. There are countless opportunities for our “little giants” to play, learn and explore here. Our extensive outdoor area is a particular highlight, and we would like to add more variety here over the next few years with trees and other design features to offer additional shade.

Educational concept

In our daycare centre, we currently combine children from different groups to work on a variety of topics involving musical education, language and movement. Our pedagogical work is focused on the coordination of preschool/transition and digitisation. For example, we aim to work with the children on developing a healthy and sensible approach to media. This also involves parents: we draw their attention to the potential dangers of unsupervised access to smartphones or tablets.

An open and trusting collaboration with parents is very important to us. That's why we are advocating for the development of a user-friendly daycare app, which will make it much easier to share relevant information. We want enhanced transparency of appointments, projects and group events, and easier access to relevant topics for everyone.

Monthly costs

The childcare costs are based on the schedule of fees issued by the city of Cologne. A monthly flat rate of €98 for nursery children and €108 for kindergarten children is charged for lunch.
