Welcome to Kleine Riesen Cologne Wahn!
Since 2021, we have been caring for children from 10 months of age in one under-3 group and two over-3 groups. Each group has its own dedicated area with three connected rooms – offering plenty of space to play, explore and feel at home. A spacious outdoor area and our gym with a climbing wall provide plenty of room for movement and adventure. For our centre manager Selina and the entire team, the wellbeing of every single child is our top priority.

We embrace participation: children are encouraged to share their opinions, take part in decision-making and actively shape their daily routines. Regular outings into nature – for example to the Scheuermühlenteich or to one of the many local playgrounds in beautiful Wahn – further expand their world of experience. Equally important to us is a relationship of openness, transparency and mutual respect with you as parents – please don’t hesitate to speak with us at any time.

Additional childcare for a relaxed Christmas shopping!
To support families during the often hectic run-up to Christmas, we’re offering a special childcare service:
On Saturday, 13th December 2025, our nursery in Wahn will be open from 9am to 12 noon for additional childcare. While you take care of your Christmas shopping in peace, your child will be safely and lovingly looked after by our dedicated team.

Educational concept

The focus of our educational work lies in the areas of movement, artistic and aesthetic education and nutrition. The children can expand their individual skills in a participatory way with various movement and creative activities. The children experience the conscious handling of food in the daily group activities. The full catering with breakfast, lunch and snack creates an ideal opportunity to try things out and grow. True to the motto "Mealtime is learning time", we organise meals together with the children.

Monthly costs

For the daycare year 2024/2025:
The childcare costs are based on the schedule of fees issued by the city of Cologne. In addition, a monthly flat rate for full board of € 120 for the nursery and € 130 for the kindergarten is payable to the daycare centre provider.
