Our day care centre was opened over seven years ago in the beautiful Porz-Gremberghoven district in Cologne. Recently, we have had decorators in to give our premises a new coat of paint. Now all the rooms have a splendid, fresh gleam, offering a friendly feel-good atmosphere to welcome our little giants. We also have a large outdoor space with a grass playing area, sandpit, climbing frame, messy corner and swing. This is where our children can let off steam and play to their heart's content.

Our team has also changed a lot recently: we have acquired several highly motivated new members of staff and we are looking forward to an effective collaboration with them as part of our strong, multicultural team.

Educational concept

We follow a situational approach to learning at our daycare centre. We take the children's existing lifestyle, experiences, learning desires and areas of conflict as a starting point and design our everyday educational routine accordingly. We encourage the children to get involved and show their own initiative.

Since Cologne Porz-Gremberghoven is home to many people with a migrant background, we focus on promoting language as an integral part of everyday life. As a certified “Sprach-Kita”, we have our own specialist with responsibility for this area. Our entire team has also received further training on this issue. Our aim is to make learning the German language fun for the children, and we incorporate this approach specifically in our project work.

Monthly costs

The childcare costs are based on the schedule of fees issued by the city of Cologne. In addition, a monthly flat rate for lunch of € 93 for nursery children and € 103 for kindergarten children is charged.
