Münster Hermannschule
Our daycare centre opened in 2014 in the heart of Münster's southern quarter and offers space for three permanent groups. Each group has its own room with adjoining side room, washroom and nappy-changing facilities. The adjoining rooms are designed according to the children's needs, and the children are allowed to actively participate in designing the relevant area.
Our outdoor area also offers plenty of space to play and is suitable for a variety of nature-watching activities: birds, squirrels and beetles are frequent and welcome visitors. Thanks to the energetic efforts of the Parents' Council, this year we have also been able to enjoy a raised bed, which we are cultivating together with the children. We regularly go on local excursions, for example to Südpark, to nearby playgrounds or to libraries.
Educational concept
We view each child as a unique individual with their own needs and interests. Our goal is to recognise and encourage these to promote the development of a healthy and confident self-image. Our educational team offers the children guidance and security through loving attention and by developing stable bonds. In order to respond to the interests and abilities of our little giants, we develop activities and projects together in our groups.
One focus of our work is the promotion of language: we support the joy of speaking and communication skills by fostering an appreciative working environment with the children during play and in daily communication. Singing circles, making music together, and creative activities with different materials also promote the artistic and musical development of our little giants.
Nutrition plays a significant role in the physical health and development of the children. That is why we believe it is important to introduce even the youngest children to healthy nutrition so that they can develop a healthy body awareness.
An open and trusting collaboration with parents is very important to us. Our specialists are in constant discussions with parents to develop a plan that offers individual support for each child and to keep each other up to date on the child's development.
We also document the experiences of the children and their group and share this with parents.

Monthly costs
The childcare costs are based on the charter of fees issued by the city of Münster. In addition, a monthly flat rate of € 80 is charged for meals.
